Hosts

Peter Montgomery (Monty)

Monty is in his element when he is organising a social event or in front of a crowd

His enthusiasm and energy is infectious and he is the perfect host for such a trip. Monty has lived in Europe during the 80’s and speaks Dutch as his second language. He has been involved in cycling for over 20 years and this will be his fifth trip to France having first seen the Tour in 2002. Monty has a thorough knowledge of The Pyrenees, Provence and the Alpes, especially the famous and not so famous cycling routes. Additionally, over the years, Monty has carefully selected a number of top quality restaurants and hotels to stay and dine in, during his stay in France.

Monty also works as a personal trainer and as an instructor for the renowned Ridewiser Ergo Program. He is a regular TV presenter on a lifestyle program about food, wine, sport and accommodation.

Andrew Gooding (Gooda)

Gooda discovered cycling a couple of years ago and it didn’t take long for him to get hooked, so much so that he is now onto his third bike!

As a participant on the 2009 Mont Cycling Tour, he has an excellent understanding of what is going through the minds of first time tour participants as they step off the plane in France to commence their adventure.

As one of your hosts, you will find Gooda is focussed both on making sure everything is running smoothly for the guests, as well as making sure they are entertained by his banter.
